lovelyfibers:

Hello my knitting friends! Here are a few really cute (and free!) birdie knitting patterns for the spring season that I ran into last night.

1. Blue Tit

2. Bluebird

3. Spring Chick

Of course you can make their colors anything you’d like, they don’t have to be blue or tits! :-) I’ll find some crocheted ones to post as well!

lefeuaubergine:

I’ve kind of been wanting to make myself a cowl, and even went so far as to start one (hated the yarn I was using). I’m even still ogling pictures of cowls, but for some reason my roving startitis hasn’t settled down enough to focus on starting specific projects. Fortunately, it seems to be translating nicely into working on my existing WIPs, but all the same….I want to start all of the things.

Colchita en crochet de Slip Stitch es una preciosidad A través de Flickr: This was a gift for my new-born nephew, Omer. It was a family project done by almost all the women in my family: my mom, my two aunts, my sister, my two cousins, and of course me. It took us 2 months, and 27 different colors of green and blue.

tassels

makecool:

i suppose there are times when tassels are a necessity. they do add a bit of functionality and serve their purpose. this then is for those who need a tassel now and again.

For all of the knitters & yarn enthusiasts out there … Here is a chair. I took this photo yesterday outside Black Sheep in Needham, Mass. Once inside (for my elementary crochet lesson) I learned that the chair itself is from Ikea. There were three women buying yarn to knit the chair. How spectacular! How totally cozy. Maybe one day I can crochet a chair fit for an … ant.

Here’s a better picture of the pattern so you can get an idea of what it’s going to look like.
I think I’m going to do the Dalek part in a dark blue yarn with white or grey specks so it maybe has a night sky effect. Then I’ll do the TARDIS in pink (because she’s a baby girl, and because I want it to stand out) and black for the outline and white for the windows and lettering. I’m so excited to get started on this.
For anyone who might want the pattern, feel free to send me an ask, I don’t mind sharing at all! In fact, I found the Dalek part online here and just duplicated it.
